Homeownership Education
Buying a home for the first time can be a daunting experience - especially when you are planning major home improvements! Neighborhood Investment Corporation offers a full series of Homeownership Education seminars to walk you through each step. The whole series of seminars are scheduled monthly.

Budgeting and Credit - Getting ready for the loan application by financial planning and credit repair.

Homeownership Basics - This class discusses the home purchase decision and process, including information on financing options, real estate transactions, credit reports and the basics of borrowing.

Buying the house -This class is required before you may close on your mortgage. Buying the House covers the transition to homeownership—the closing process, basic home repair, and protecting your investment.

*Required for MSHDA, FHA, Fannie Mae and many other mortgages for first time homebuyers.

Prequalifying Interviews and Assessments
One to one session with our housing counselor to measure your readiness for homeownership. We will determine how much you can afford to borrow, assess your credit ability, and help you sort out the many mortgage options available in today's market.

LINKS to HOMEOWNERSHIP
